GEM Switchboards (formerly Gosford Electrical Manufacturing) is an Australian owned and operated, low voltage electrical manufacturing company.
Our focus has always been on quality and compliance, this comes from only employing qualified and skilled tradesman with strict quality controls from design through to production. These ensure consistency of outcome to ensure every board meets and exceeds our clients, and our own strict standards.
GEM has grown considerably which gives us capacity to service all clients and projects, no matter the size and complexity but at the same time we remain flexible and nimble to meet our clients requirements in an industry that is always changing.

Meet The Team
Management Team

Mathew Watson
General Manager / Director
Mat joined GEM in 2019, bringing over two decades of experience from the switchboard industry, which he has been part of since 1996. With a solid trade background, he has served in various organisations and now holds overall responsibility at GEM.

Kevin Dries
Sales Manager
Kev joined GEM in 2021 and currently manages the sales, engineering, and purchasing departments. Coming from a trade background, he has been active in the industry since 2003.

Patrick Crocker
Operations Manager
Pat joined GEM in 2011 as an apprentice electrical fitter and has since amassed considerable experience in manufacturing. He now oversees both the factory and site teams, ensuring smooth operations.
Sales & Estimating Team

Azi Doost
Estimator
Azi joined GEM in 2021, bringing with her a wealth of industry experience since 2015. Azi holds a master's degree in electrical engineering and has a background in design. At GEM, Azi contributes her expertise as an estimator.
Projects & Design Team

Mathew Parrish
Project Supervisor
Matt became part of GEM in 2021, after honing his skills in his family's switchboard business from the time he finished school. He has extensive experience across all aspects of the switchboard industry and currently oversees all major tenders at GEM.

Stuart Till
Design Manager
Stuart joined GEM in 2000 and later became the owner, having previously served as a senior manager with another board builder. He has a wealth of experience, with over 25 years spent designing boards.

Blayden Butler
Project Supervisor
Blayden joined GEM in 2015 as an apprentice electrical fitter and has progressed from the workshop to become a project supervisor. In this role, he manages both the design and delivery of our projects.

James Egan
Quality Control Manager
James started at GEM in 2010 as an electrical fitter apprentice. Over the years, he has taken on various roles and currently holds the crucial position of Quality Control (QC). His responsibilities include testing switchboards, as well as calibrating all testing equipment and tools.

Russell Egan
Site Manager
Russell began his journey with GEM in 1981 as an apprentice and has remained with the company ever since. Previously serving as the production manager, he now oversees all onsite operations.

Justin Flanagan
Purchasing Manager
Justin joined GEM in 2021, bringing with him extensive experience in warehousing and procurement. He is in charge of all purchasing activities and manages our supplier relationships.
